Marky Mark is giving a rare glimpse at the funkiest bunch of all: his family.
Mark Wahlberg attended the Los Angeles premiere of his upcoming film The Union alongside his kids, who appeared all grown up as they snapped a special family photo on the red carpet—their first big outing together in nine years.
The 53-year-old was joined at the Aug. 12 premiere by his wife Rhea Durham, 46, and three of their kids: Michael, 18, Brendan, 15, and Grace, 14.
Although the couple’s eldest daughter Ella, 20—who attends college at Clemson University in South Carolina—was not at the event, her younger siblings stepped up to rep the fam by rocking their best summer attire in honor of the movie, which drops on Netflix Aug. 16.
On the red carpet, Michael—who attended alongside model Sunni Gaines—sported an off-white button down with a pair of slim black pants and dress shoes, while Brendan wore a cream-colored tee, jeans embossed with a white floral print and a pair of Nike tennis shoes. For Grace, she showed off her style with a mint green crop top, trendy baggy jeans, Nike sneakers and layered necklaces, while keeping her hair straight down.
While his teens haven’t attended a major premiere since they were little kids, his family has shown support for Mark’s movies in other ways.
“When they were younger, they were obsessed with seeing Ted before it was age-appropriate,” Mark exclusively told E! News correspondent Will Marfuggi on the carpet. “They just saw Arthur the King, which they liked very much. It really just depends on the kid.” (For more from The Union red carpet, tune into E! News on Aug. 14 at 11 p.m.)
But the former rapper noted his children are really looking forward to another upcoming project.
“They’re excited to see me in the next one as the villain,” Mark continued. “The one I did with Mel Gibson directing—it’s called Flight Risk. I shaved my head and I’m bald and crazy.”
As for how the kids feel about dad portraying a villain on-screen? He joked, “They know when I get angry, they say, ‘Yep, that’s dad.’”
However, angry is hardly how the Wahlbergs might describe their father, who moved his family from Los Angeles to Las Vegas in 2022 to give them a “better life.”
"Whether it be my daughter as an equestrian, my son as a basketball player, my younger son as a golfer, this made a lot more sense for us," Mark told The Talk in October 2022. "We came here to just kind of give ourselves a new look, a fresh start for the kids and there's lots of opportunity here."
And the move to Sin City seems to be a popular one for allowing his kids’ interests and hobbies to flourish.
"They love Vegas," Mark exclusively told E! News in April 2023. "I spent lots of time in L.A. pursuing my interests and my career and now it's time for them to pursue theirs. Everybody is thriving there, it's been great."
