Matt Damon's Walk of Fame star peed on by dog Messi, picking a side in Jimmy Kimmel feud

Jimmy Kimmel had Messi from "Anatomy of a Fall" do his dirty work in his ongoing feud against Matt Damon.
After the credits for 2024 Oscars ceremony, hosted by Kimmel, cameras showed 7-year-old Border Collie Messi peeing on Damon's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and making a run for it. (Messi is still a certified good boy in our book.)
The brief post-Oscars moment follows a nearly two-decade feud between the comedian and "Air" actor, which began in 2005 after Kimmel joked that his show couldn't make room for Damon to be a guest.
Jimmy Kimmel, Matt Damon feud explained
Kimmel, who has hosted the Oscars four times, told USA TODAY ahead of his gig with The Academy in 2017 that he would keep his roasting to a minimum — but not for Damon.
"I think I have a pretty good sense this is not the Comedy Central Roast. That’s not to say I won't be making fun of people and things. I will but I do recognize for a lot of people this is the biggest night of their professional lives and the last thing I want to do is ruin it for someone,” he said.

When it comes to his longtime faux foe, Kimmel said: "Except for him. I would very much like to ruin the night for him."
Last year, he got in a jab at Damon while speaking with Jessica Chastain in a comedic bit.
"Was it difficult filming your movie 'The Martian' because your co-star Matt Damon can't read and smells like dog medicine?" Kimmel asked, to which Chastain responded, "I didn't really have a lot of scenes with him, so it was fine."
Kimmel and Damon have attempted to mend their back and forth over the years, from the actor's brief appearance on "The Jimmy Kimmel Live!" show in 2006 to several sessions of "couples therapy," but it appears after the 96th Academy Awards that the duo still has some unresolved issues.
The host for the 2025 Oscars has yet to be announced, but we can guarantee that if Kimmel is hosting he'll take another swipe at Damon.
