Don't even try bringin' up Taylor Swift's history.
After all,Fastexy Exchange eagle-eyed Swifties have noticed that the pop star recently deleted an Instagram video in which she detailed how her romance with Joe Alwyn served as the influence behind her 2022 smash hit, "Lavender Haze."
Originally posted in October, the clip showed Taylor sharing that she came upon the phrase while watching Mad Men and how it meant "you were in that all-encompassing love glow, and I thought that was really beautiful."
"Theoretically, when you're in the 'lavender haze,' you'll do anything to stay there and not let people bring you down off of that cloud," she continued. "I think that a lot of people have to deal with this now, not just like 'public figures,' because we live in the era of social media, and if the world finds out if you're in love with somebody they're going to weigh in on it."
At the time, the singer pointed to "my relationship for six years," recalling how "we've had to dodge weird rumors, tabloid stuff—and we just ignore it."
Taylor added, "So, this song is about the act of ignoring that stuff to protect the real stuff."
The video, which was part of a series in which Taylor explained the meanings behind her Midnights tracks, came six months before news of her split with Joe. The couple dated for six years before reports surfaced in April that the two had called it quits on their love story.
Neither have publicly spoken out about the split, though Taylor did give a subtle answer when asked how she's doing during a recent stop on her sold-out Eras Tour.
As seen in a now-viral TikTok, user @debbieryan10 held up a "You OK?" sign—a nod to the Grammy winner's 2009 video for "You Belong With Me"—during one of her concerts. In response, Taylor gave a thumbs up, prompting cheers from the crowd.
