The second season of docuseries "Welcome to Wrexham" is set to debut on FX and Hulu.
The series follows Hollywood celebrities Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney as they navigate the peaks and valleys of running the third-oldest professional soccer club in the world.
Reynolds and McElhenney teamed up to purchase the club in 2020 in the hopes of "turning the club into an underdog story the whole world could root for," according to FX.
"'Welcome to Wrexham' is a docuseries tracking the dreams and worries of Wrexham, a working-class town in North Wales, U.K., as two Hollywood stars take ownership of the town's historic yet struggling football club," according to FX.
The finale of the first season chronicled Wrexham's epic 5-4 loss to Grimsby Town in the promotion playoff semifinal. It marked the fourth time they fell short in the National League playoffs, including multiple extra-time losses.
Season 2 of the show is expected to feature the promotion of the club to League Two, the fourth tier of the English football league system.
